We are located in a pleasant rural village 15 minutes from Shrewsbury. We have been a training practice for over 30 years. We have two approved trainers but all the practice team are regularly involved in training. Our registrar has at least 3 tutorials per week and in addition ample time for study. We meet daily to discuss any relevant issues and also have a weekly clinical meeting during which we frequently have external speakers such as local consultants.
We have a modern library and internet access from every terminal within the practice. The registrar’s room has fixed videoing facilities.
Our aim is to support registrars to gradually develop their primary care skills over the course of their year with us.
Out of hours training is provided through Shropdoc (1 shift per month).
